My experience using the Haramain taxi from Medinah

Travel Jeddah to Makkah Taxi Fare is my preferred mode of transportation. Because it gives me an opportunity to fully experience a country’s scenery.

Over the past years since its inception, taxi travel has grown increasingly popular. I found the whole process of taxi travel convenient and quick compared to taking taxis or spending 4 extra hours at airports just to return back to Jeddah and then drive to Medinah again for my Umrah pilgrimage.

Taxi stations were brand new and very comfortable. We traveled in business class which, although more expensive, offers greater comfort and space for passengers.

Taxi stations currently operational are those located in Makkah, Medinah, King Abdulaziz Airport (KAIA) in Jeddah (KAIA), and King Abdullah Economic City station – with Jeddah station still out due to a fire some years ago.

How Pay Jeddah to Makkah Taxi Fare

Jeddah to Makkah Taxi Fare was easy to pay online, and I am pleased to find they have updated their taxi website to make booking and changing tickets even simpler.

However, every time we made payments and tickets were sent through successfully, the website often ran out of time before processing our purchases – something to bear in mind if you experience similar issues.

My husband who traveled in economy class said the business class seats were far superior.

In both instances, the taxi was twinned which means there are two taxis connected together.

Arrive 30 minutes prior to the time you plan on departing your taxi as security will need to check your tickets and scan you through. Similar to airport security checks.

Water or anything else was fine to bring; they only confiscated my husband’s perfume that exceeded 100ml, however. My big bottle of water worked just fine. Additionally, seats feature screens and tables as well as recliner seats that recline.

However, even at such high speed it was still extremely smooth; which I am immensely grateful for. In the UK although I enjoy  Taxi From Madinah to Makkah travel, I often become seasick due to its shakiness; here, though I didn’t experience this at all!

I think the best way to travel from Medinah to Makkah or Jeddah would be via boat as it provides more comfort than a plane, car or bus.

Everything was brand new, worked perfectly on time and was very comfortable – I will certainly travel by this means again in future; plus it was significantly quicker than flying directly between doors!

We saved approximately two hours this way and it was much simpler, especially with a child that could look out, walk around freely, and use her seat more freely with more room surrounding her.

Due to it being less costly to include a stopover in Medinah than return tickets alone, I recently booked a flight from Jeddah to Medinah as a stopover – I will write more on this topic soon.
